Powder Coat
Powder coating administers a fine powder of coloring agents that, when heated, fuse to the aluminum to form a continuous coating. Briteline Extrusions runs both an automated line and a hand booth operation designed to handle up to 14 feet in length.
Extrusions are prepared for powder coating using a pretreatment process that applies a conversion coating. When dry, the extrusions are hung on customized racks to begin the powder coating process. Once powder is applied with electrostatic guns the extrusions are placed in one of two ovens. We use both infrared and gas ovens to cure the finish.
